As Kerr Office Group enters its 40th year, we’ve spent time reflecting on what kind of business we want to be. Not just in the spaces we design and build, but in the role we play beyond them, particularly in the local area. That reflection led us to Julia’s House Children’s Hospice, who we are proud to support as our charity partner for 2026.
Why Julia’s House
Julia’s House provides vital hospice care and emotional support to children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, and to their families, often at the most difficult moments of their lives. Their work is deeply personal, community-focused and quietly extraordinary.
To truly understand the impact of that care, it’s worth hearing directly from the families they support.
Skye’s family were given the most devastating news just before Christmas two years ago. The doctors believed Skye had just one year left to live and this could be their last Christmas together. In January, they were introduced to Julia’s House. They thought the hospice only offered end of life care. But they found so much more – fun respite sessions for Skye, sibling support and amazing help for her parents.
Skye has been receiving infusion treatment which she’s responded to really well. But her family still don’t know what the future holds. Skye’s mum, Sophie, said “I don’t know where we’d be without Julia’s House. Their support has been lifesaving.”

Eleven-year-old Ellie’s mental health was at its lowest two years ago. She had been in bed for six months and her family was at breaking point. Fortunately, that was when they say Julia’s House ‘swooped in’ to save them.

A partnership built on people
Throughout 2026, the Kerr team will be raising funds for Julia’s House through a series of initiatives, challenges and collective action. From team-led fundraising to community-focused activities, our aim is simple. To make a tangible contribution that supports the incredible work the charity does every day.
Just as importantly, we want to use our platform to help raise awareness of the charity, the families they support and the vital role children’s hospice care plays in our communities.
We’re incredibly proud to stand alongside Julia’s House in 2026. We look forward to sharing more about our fundraising efforts and progress as the year unfolds.
If you would like to donate to Julia’s House, you can do so here. Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated.
Our firm is known for being friendly and down to earth as well as professional, yet our offices didn’t reflect that culture. Thanks to Kerr, we have now been able to bring it to life in a much more usable space, and we’ve really valued their guidance and efficiency throughout the process
