A sustainable new home for pacific produce

Pacific Produce Thame

The opportunity

Pacific Produce needed a new workplace that could support the different ways its people work while creating a positive environment for employees and visitors.

The brief was to create a versatile and sustainable workspace at Network House, bringing together client-facing areas, collaborative spaces, individual focus areas and facilities that support employee wellbeing. The new environment needed to balance productivity and collaboration with quieter spaces for focused work, while reflecting Pacific Produce’s vision and values.

The approach

The design focused on making every part of Network House purposeful and adaptable.

A welcoming entrance creates a strong first impression, leading into a dedicated meeting and client experience suite capable of accommodating up to 14 people. The open-plan office provides space for up to 22 team members, while dedicated collaboration areas and quiet focus zones give employees flexibility depending on the type of work they need to complete.

The workplace also includes a social hub and wellness studio, creating spaces for employees to relax, connect and take a break from their day-to-day work.

Sustainability was central to the design approach. Kerr selected materials and finishes with strong environmental credentials, including Corkform floor finishes, sustainable fabrics and products made using recycled or less resource-intensive materials. These choices helped reduce the environmental impact of the workspace while contributing to a healthier working environment.

The impact

The completed Network House workspace provides Pacific Produce with a flexible environment designed around both business needs and employee experience.

The combination of open-plan working, collaboration areas, quiet focus zones, client facilities, social space and a wellness studio allows employees to choose the environment that best suits their work throughout the day.

The sustainable material choices also reinforce Pacific Produce’s values while creating a more considered and comfortable workplace.

Most importantly, the project has created a new home that reflects the company’s vision and values. Pacific Produce’s Managing Director, Robert Cullum, described the finished space as a “stunning space” that fosters a “positive and dynamic work environment” for employees.
