- WORKPLACE STRATEGY, OFFICE DESIGN, FIT-OUT, FURNITURE
Great Western Railway Swindon
The opportunity
Great Western Railway needed a workplace environment that could support its teams while responding to the changing requirements of the modern workplace. The project provided an opportunity to improve the functionality of the existing environment and create spaces that could support different activities throughout the working day.
The brief focused on creating a professional and practical workplace where teams could work effectively, collaborate with colleagues and make use of dedicated spaces for meetings and focused work.
The approach
Kerr Office Group developed a workplace solution around the practical needs of GWR’s teams. Space was carefully considered to provide a balance between individual workstations, collaborative areas and meeting spaces.
The design and fit-out brought together furniture, finishes and workplace facilities to create a cohesive environment. Kerr’s end-to-end approach allowed the project to be coordinated across design, fit-out and installation, ensuring the different elements worked together as one complete workplace.
The impact
The completed environment provides GWR with a more functional and contemporary workplace that supports the varied activities of its teams.
By introducing a better balance between focused work, meetings and collaboration, the space provides employees with greater choice in how they use the workplace while creating a professional environment that supports the organisation’s day-to-day operations.
